Volunteer!
The Shippensburg Historical Society enjoys the active volunteer support of its members who donate their time and talents to help preserve Shippensburg's history. The Historical Society always welcomes new volunteers whether they are long-time members who wish to get more active or new members who want to learn more about the Society and its work. Some of the possible volunteer opportunities include:
- Working with the Society's museum collections and creating exhibits
- Helping to arrange and describe the Society's archival collections
- Providing tours of the Stewart House to visitors
- Aiding researchers with historical or genealogical research
- Assisting with the day-to-day administrative work of the Society
- Volunteering to help with special events and programs
- Maintaining the Society's web page
